These terms apply when you use this website, which is run by KinPlot ("we", "us"). By ordering, you agree to them.
We turn Global25 (G25) coordinates, which you provide or which we simulate from your raw DNA file, into maps of genetic distance to reference populations, a list of the closest populations and an estimated location. Each payment buys one product (a map, simulated coordinates, or a bundle shown at checkout) for one sample.
Population maps show the same maps for one of our reference populations, picked by name, instead of your own coordinates. That population is left out of its own comparison. Its maps describe a group average, not any individual member of the group, and the underlying coordinates and sample counts are not provided.
Results are statistical comparisons between coordinate averages. They are approximate, depend on which reference populations are available, and are not proof of ancestry, ethnicity, nationality, family relationships or origin. They are not medical or legal advice. Population and site locations are approximate.
Simulated coordinates are estimated by our own model from consumer raw DNA data. They are not official Global25 coordinates and are not issued or endorsed by the creator of Global25. In our testing they place a sample in the same region and give the same ancestral source model as official coordinates, while the order of the closest few populations can differ; the difference is larger for files with few matching SNPs.
You confirm that the coordinates or DNA file are your own, or that you have permission from the person they belong to. Don't submit someone else's data without their consent. You must be 18 or older to order.
After payment you get a private link to your results, valid for 30 days. Anyone with the link can view it, so keep it private and save the files you want to keep. You may use downloaded images for personal, non-commercial purposes, including sharing them online.
Prices are shown in US dollars before checkout and charged by Stripe. Results are delivered instantly online.
Refunds: if your results could not be produced, or you're not happy with them, email [email protected] within 14 days of purchase from the address you used at checkout, and we'll refund you in full. This doesn't affect any rights you have under consumer law where you live.
Don't attempt to extract or reconstruct the reference data, overload or disrupt the service, or access other people's results.
We aim to keep the service running but can't guarantee it will always be available. We may update the reference data, the simulation model, prices and these terms. Changes to the terms apply to orders placed afterwards.
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
